FAQs
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions are available in your home, virtually, and within the community! Our goal is to make services accessible and relevant to the skills being targeted. That means that we can meet at the park, go to a restaurant, or do a session in the backyard. We believe learning and play shouldn't just happen in an office!
What age groups do you work with? What types of skills do you work on?
At Hathiphant, we work with children, teens, and young adults. Therapy is tailored to your individual child's and family's needs. We work on play and language skills, articulation and motor speech skills, and building independence and safety through communication for all age groups...just to name a few! All of our sessions encourage family involvement and participation in activities.
Do you take insurance?
Hathiphant is a fee for service company. A monthly superbill for services is available upon request if you would like to seek reimbursement from your insurance company. All payment is due at the time of service. We are a vendor for the San Diego Regional Center (Vendor #PY2698) for early intervention and self-determination services.
What are you rates?
Please see the "Services" page for a description of rates.
What areas of San Diego are services available in?
Virtual therapy services are available anywhere in California. In-person services are available across the city of San Diego and parts of San Diego County. A travel fee may apply beyond a 10 miles radius of 92103 and/or for rush-hour travel.
What COVID precautions are in place?
We follow all state and county guidelines regarding masking and sanitizing materials. Your therapist may choose to wear a mask at their own discretion.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your appointment, please inform your therapist at least 24 hours prior to your appointment time. There may be a late cancellation fee for late cancellations or no-shows. If your child is ill (cough, runny nose, rash, fever, pink eye), please reschedule the appointment or switch to a virtual session.
